Scale of etchings in the digital composition is the same as each physical plate.

Hong Kong’s extreme density inspired this work. The city’s compressed spatial conditions evoked through the deliberate arrangement of closely packed and overlapping etchings. The individual plates were derived from drawings of buildings in Yau Ma Tei.

By combining intaglio and screen-printing processes, I bring together two distinct printmaking languages, each carrying its own weight on the paper. This interplay mirrors the dialogue between Hong Kong and New York, represented by the depiction of their iconic buildings.
